智通财经APP获悉，港交所(00388)行政总裁陈翊庭表示，伦敦金属交易所(LME)已批准在香港增设三家仓储设施，令香港的仓储设施总数达到7家。
她指出，自港交所2012年收购LME以来，仓储设施是批准在中国设立仓库以储存LME交易的金属，一直是一项战略目标。伦敦金属交易所今年1月将香港纳入仓库网路，至今在香港批准的仓库有7个。
此前于4月份，伦敦金属交易所宣布，已批准四家位于香港的LME核准仓储设施。新的核准仓储设施已经通过LME运输及物流标准验收。首批四家仓储设施将于7月开始运营，而后接收和储存LME认可交割品牌的金属。获准存储的金属包括铝合金、钖、锌及铅等。
她提到，香港作为伦敦交易所许可交割点，可以加强内地实物金属市场与伦敦金属交易所国际定价的联系，创造更多市场套利机会，减低物流成本。预期尽管贸易和地缘政治存在很大波动，港交所旗下伦敦金属交易所交易量将保持增长。
