Perenti's Mining Division Signs AU$1 Billion Contract for Africa Mine

Perenti's (ASX:PRN) contract mining division, African Underground Mining Services, has secured a new five-year AU$1.02 billion contract with mining company AngloGold Ashanti for the Obuasi Gold Mine in Ghana, according to a Thursday filing with the Australian bourse.

The contract, effective Feb. 1, covers underground development, production, and related mining services for five years, the filing said.

The company will not be required to commit additional capital under the contract, the filing added.
