IonQ (IONQ) said Friday it signed a memorandum of understanding with South Korea's Korea Institute of Science and Technology Information, or KISTI, to deepen collaboration in quantum computing infrastructure.
The partnership will integrate IonQ's quantum systems with KISTI's supercomputing infrastructure and support initiatives in education, knowledge exchange, and market development, the company said.
IonQ and KISTI plan to launch training programs and internships to support South Korea's quantum research community, the company said.
The agreement builds on previous joint initiatives and complements IonQ's broader engagements in South Korea, including partnerships with SK Telecom and Seoul National University, the company said.
Shares of IonQ were down by more than 5% in recent Friday premarket activity.
