芝加哥联邦储备银行行长Austan Goolsbee表示，尽管短期内降息的门槛“稍高了一些”，但在未来10到16个月内，降低借贷成本仍然是可能的。

　　Goolsbee周五在接受CNBC采访时表示：“所有选项始终都在桌面上，但我感觉就我个人而言，在我们等待局势更明朗之际，在任何方向采取行动的门槛都变得略高了一些。”

　　他说，他仍抱有希望“从现在起10到16个月内，利率相对于当前水平会有相当幅度的下降。”

　　Goolsbee做出上述表态之前，美国总统特朗普威胁对欧盟商品征收50%关税。特朗普还警告称，如果苹果手机不在美国制造，就将对其征收25%的关税。Goolsbee表示，如此高的关税“对供应链来说将非常可怕”。

　　对于试图进行决策的企业，Goolsbee说：“如果每周、每月、甚至每天都有新的重大宣布，那企业就无法采取行动，直到这些问题有所解决。”他表示，其所在辖区的企业负责人普遍对关税感到焦虑，并强调了进行投资所必需的政策连续性。

　　本周，美联储官员们纷纷释放信号称，他们可能会在更长几个月的时间内维持观望态度，继续评估关税及其对美国经济的影响，再决定是否调整利率。
