专利摘要显示，用于能沿调设方向（E）调节的车辆座椅的止动设备，其具有：至少一个卡锁轨道（2），卡锁轨道具有多个沿调设方向（E）依次布置且相互间隔的卡锁开口（21），以及具有能沿调设方向（E）相对于卡锁轨道（2）运动的锁紧单元（1），其具有多个锁紧元件（5、6、7、8），锁紧元件彼此无关地借助引导装置（4）引导、依赖于定位地能被带到与其中各一个卡锁开口（21）嵌接，其中，至少其中一个锁紧元件（5、6、7、8）配设有切口（56），当锁紧元件（5、6、7、8）按规定与其中一个卡锁开口（21）处于嵌接时，切口沿卡入方向（R）布置在卡锁轨道（2）之下。
