Harmonic Drive Systems Returns to Profit in Fiscal 2024

Harmonic Drive Systems (TYO:6324) posted an attributable profit of 3.47 billion yen for fiscal 2024, rebounding from a loss of 24.8 billion yen a year earlier.

The precision gears manufacturer's basic earnings per share rose to 36.57 yen, versus a loss per share of 261.00 yen a year ago.

Net sales declined 0.3% to 55.6 billion yen in the year ended March 31 from 55.8 billion yen a year earlier.

It declared a final dividend of 10.00 yen per share for fiscal 2024, payable from June 23.

For the first half of fiscal 2025, the company expects attributable profit of 300 million yen, basic EPS of 3.16 yen per share, and net sales of 27 billion yen.

The company has not determined the interim and year-end dividends per share for fiscal 2025.
