Stellantis (STLA) said Wednesday it is investing $388 million to build a megahub in Van Buren Township, Michigan.

The facility is set to launch in 2027, will support 488 union-represented jobs, and aims to make its Mopar service parts distribution network more efficient and sustainable, the automaker said.

The workforce for the new facility will consist of employees from Center Line and Marysville, Michigan, and Milwaukee, Wisconsin, which are parts distribution centers that Stellantis recently sold. Operations at these facilities will continue under a sale-leaseback agreement until the megahub and the Warren Sherwood e-coat upfitting facility are operational, the company said.
