Land Securities Group plc (Landsec) has appointed Bowmer + Kirkland as the main contractor to deliver The Republic, the first commercial building in the Mayfield district of Manchester. Set to begin construction this summer, The Republic is a 233,000 sq ft office building within the award-winning Mayfield Park, located near Piccadilly Station. This development aims to create thousands of jobs and facilitate the construction of 1,700 new homes in the area. The project emphasizes sustainability and well-being, featuring extensive green spaces and innovative designs such as the AI-powered Intelligent Garden. This milestone marks a significant step in transforming Mayfield into a vibrant urban district.
