TradingKey - 碳化硅巨头Wolfspeed（WOLF）股价在 2021 年 1 月达到 142.33 美元的峰值，近年来股价大幅下跌。5月20日，Wolfspeed股价在盘后交易中下跌约60%，再度腰斩至 1.37 美元。
激进投资者JanaPartners在今年第一季度已退出其在Wolfspeed的全部头寸，该机构认为Wolfspeed管理层在资本配置、执行和战略方面的失误导致公司经营出现巨大问题，股价将持续崩盘。

《华尔街日报》报道称，该公司准备在未来几周申请破产，债权人提出的若干份债务重组建议已获采纳，并将在即将发布的季度报告中增加“持续经营”的措辞。
Wolfspeed的破产并非不可预料——早在2024年的财报中就有预警。2024年财报显示，Wolfspeed累计净亏损8.64亿美元，较2023财年扩大162%；第四财季的毛利率大幅下滑，从2023年同期的29%降至1%。
