经济观察网讯 据报道，英特尔正考虑剥离其网络和边缘计算部门，因为这家芯片制造商正试图剥离其新任CEO认为并不重要的业务。

关于出售该部门（在英特尔财报中曾被称为NEX）的谈判，是该公司CEO陈立武战略的一部分，该战略旨在将数万名员工集中于公司一直以来蓬勃发展的领域：PC和数据中心芯片。

“这是我们将要拓展和发展的业务，”陈立武5月19日在台北举行的英特尔40周年庆典上对高管们表示。

他还补充说，英特尔在PC芯片市场占有约68%的份额，在数据中心芯片市场占有55%的份额。

据消息人士称，英特尔正在考虑出售该部门，因为NEX的业务似乎与陈立武为公司设定的重点不再相关。该部门生产电信设备芯片，将不再对英特尔的核心战略有所帮助。

今年第一季度，英特尔将NEX的财务业绩并入数据中心和 PC 部门，目前不再单独报告该部门。证券备案文件显示，NEX部门在2024年的营收为58亿美元。
