Rox Resources (ASX:RXL) said metallurgical test work conducted on samples from the Youanmi gold project in Western Australia revealed high recovery of 91.6% gold and 98.3% sulphur to concentrate, according to a Wednesday Australian bourse filing.
The results from bulk flotation tests determined that high gold recoveries of 91.6% can be achieved at a concentrate grade of 49.9 grams-per-tonne of gold. Additional gold was recovered at 36% to 62% from cyanide leaching of the flotation tailings.
The firm will conduct additional flotation test work to further refine the process for a definitive feasibility study slated for November.
Its shares jumped 7% in recent trading on Wednesday.
