Honasa Consumer (NSE:HONASA, BOM:544014) saw a decline in its consolidated attributable profit to 249.8 billion Indian rupees in the fiscal fourth quarter ended March 31, against 304.8 million rupees a year ago.
Earnings per share contracted to 0.77 rupees compared with the year-ago figure of 0.97 rupees, according to a Thursday filing to the Indian stock exchanges by the personal care products company.
Revenue from operations in fiscal Q4, however, increased to 5.34 billion rupees from 4.71 billion rupees a year earlier.
The company's shares surged over 14% in recent trade.
