Communication equipment manufacturer Fujitsu General (TYO:6755) and Lockheed Martin have signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) under which Fujitsu will supply the Power Supply Line Replaceable Unit (PS LRU) for the SPY-7 Subarray Suite, the companies said in a joint statement Thursday.

The component is part of the Aegis System Equipped Vessel program, with purchase orders expected later in 2025.

The SPY-7 radar features advanced detection and tracking capabilities designed to counter complex threats and engage multiple targets simultaneously, according to the joint statement.

The deal builds on a 2024 MOU to expand radar production and sustainment in Japan, aligning with Lockheed Martin's efforts to localize key components and support Japan's defense industry, the statement said.
