路透5月22日 - AlphabetGOOGL.O旗下的YouTube周四表示，该公司已聘请迪士尼DIS.N的长期高管贾斯汀-康诺利（Justin Connolly）担任其全球媒体和体育主管，因为该视频服务正进一步向体育和传统媒体领域推进。
据一位熟悉内情的消息人士透露，康诺利将负责管理该平台与主要媒体公司的关系，并负责该公司不断增长的体育直播产品组合。
在过去几年里，YouTube 一直与 Netflix 和亚马逊等竞争对手一起，积极寻求体育直播业务，以利用其庞大的用户群和体育受众。
