中国科学院国家天文台韩金林研究员日前带领团队利用中国天眼FAST发现了一个罕见的毫秒脉冲星，与伴星以3.6小时的周期相互绕转，且有六分之一的时间被伴星遮挡（即掩食，犹如日食或月食），这一发现对恒星演化理论、致密星吸积物理和双星合并的引力波源研究具有重要意义，该研究成果今天（23日）在国际学术期刊《科学》在线发表。
