DuPont (DD) said Thursday it has launched a new chromatography resin, AmberChrom TQ1, designed to improve the purification of oligonucleotides and peptides, key components in many biopharma applications.

AmberChrom TQ1 is an agarose-based resin that handles higher loading capacity, offers higher processing speeds, and requires less pressure than similar products. These features make it suitable for use in benchtop and large-scale commercial purifications, the company said.

It can also be used with DuPont's existing resins, AmberChrom XT and CG, to purify oligonucleotide and peptide feeds before further processing like reverse-phase chromatography, the company added.

DuPont unveiled the product at TIDES USA, an industry event, according to the statement.
