Skeena Resources (SKE) said Thursday that it signed an interconnection and transmission agreement with Coast Mountain Hydro, or CMH, allowing Skeena to connect to CMH's transmission line for its Eskay Creek gold-silver project in British Columbia, Canada.

The company CMH's transmission line is linked to the BC Hydro network and the deal will let Skeena purchase electricity for the Eskay Creek project directly from BC Hydro by paying CMH a tolling charge. Skeena said the agreement automatically renews every year and will be able to support the project's power requirements.

Skeena also said work on the project's electrical power infrastructure will continue over the next year, with power lines to the site expected toqstart within this year and are slated for completion by H2 2026.
