据报道，多家美国大型银行正在研究是否合作发行联合稳定币。媒体援引知情人士的话表示，目前为止相关讨论涉及了摩根大通、美国银行、花旗集团、富国银行和其他大型商业银行的关联企业。不过该银行财团的讨论还处于早期概念阶段，可能会发生变化。

　　稳定币是一种旨在保持恒定价值的加密货币，通常与美元等法定货币挂钩，加密货币交易者通常使用稳定币在代币之间转移资金。

　　消息人士称，已经讨论过的一种银行财团可能性是，除了清算所和预警服务的共同所有者之外，其他银行也可以使用稳定币。报道还称，一些地区性银行和社区银行也在考虑是否要成立单独的稳定币财团。

　　特朗普曾承诺要成为 “加密货币总统”，推动加密货币在美国成为主流。他曾表示，他支持加密货币，因为它可以改善银行系统，增强美元的主导地位。
