1145 GMT - The Bank of England could pause interest-rate cuts following stronger-than-expected U.K. inflation data, Berenberg's Andrew Wishart says in a note. Above-forecast headline and core inflation shows that "underlying inflation is too strong for the BOE to achieve its 2% inflation target", he says. The BOE is likely to delay interest rate cuts until U.K. service inflation slows down, Wishart says. Headline consumer prices rose more than expected to 3.5% in April compared with a year earlier.
