国际货币基金组织（IMF）第一副总裁Gita Gopinath表示，美国财政赤字“太大”，需要控制。

　　Gopinath评论称，华盛顿的债务负担“不断增加”，财政政策应该致力于逐步减少债务负担。她还警告称，即使近期紧张局势有所缓解，全球最大经济体仍在努力应对“非常高”的贸易政策不确定性。

　　在此同时，美国立法者正在讨论一项全面减税法案，共和党试图将十年内的收入损失控制在4.5万亿美元以内。穆迪上周下调美国信用评级，理由是其未能阻止巨额财政赤字的趋势。

　　对美国预算赤字的担忧已令美元承压。财政缺口扩大意味着美国政府必须发售更多债券，尽管国内外投资者担心涉及的国债数量。

　　本周稍早，彭博经济研究估计，考虑到特朗普政府的关税和联邦裁员等措施，众议院共和党人的税务和支出议案对美国净赤字的实际影响小于表面数字。

　　经济学家Anna Wong和Estelle Ou在一份报告中写道，我们估计，相比我们当前的基准预测，议案对经济的净提振作用微乎其微——除非参议院后续修订令财政赤字真正膨胀。
