KFC to invest $2 bln in UK and Ireland over 5 years, create 7,000 jobs

LONDON, May 27 (Reuters) - Yum Brands' YUM.N KFC plans to invest 1.49 billion pounds ($2.0 billion) in Britain and Ireland over the next five years, creating over 7,000 jobs, it said on Tuesday.

The fast food chain said it planned to open a further 500 outlets over the next decade.
