智通财经APP获悉，周三美股盘前交易中，Spero Therapeutics(SPRO.US)股价飙升近225%。此前该公司及其合作伙伴葛兰素史克(GSK.US)宣布，他们用于治疗尿路感染的口服药物 tebipenem HBr在一项关键的 3 期临床试验中达到了主要目标。
根据该研究独立数据监测委员会进行的中期分析结果，这两家公司表示 tebipenem HBr达到了主要疗效指标，这表明其疗效不劣于静脉注射的抗生素组合制剂亚胺培南-西司他丁(imipenem-cilastatin)。
名为“PIVOT-PO”的这项研究旨在对tebipenem HBr与静脉注射亚胺培南-西司他丁进行评估，研究对象为超过 1600 名因复杂性尿路感染而住院的成年人。至于耐受性方面，相关公司表示未发现新的安全信号，腹泻和头痛是报告最为频繁的不良反应。
根据国际多中心临床试验组织(IDMC)的建议，这两家公司计划提前结束这项研究，原因是其疗效良好。而葛兰素史克则打算将研究结果提交给美国食品药品监督管理局(FDA)，作为预计于 2025 年下半年提交的文件的一部分。
