3D Energi (ASX:TDO) said that its joint venture partner ConocoPhillips Australia (COPA) completed seabed surveys over potential drilling locations ahead of the upcoming Otway exploration drilling program, according to a Tuesday Australian bourse filing.
The data from the surveys will be used to confirm the suitability of potential drilling locations and continue drilling preparations. The drilling campaign is expected to begin in the second half of the year.
ConocoPhillips acts as the operator of exploration permits offshore Australia, and 3D Energi retains a 20% participating interest in both permits.
Its shares rose 2% on market close on Tuesday.
