BlockBeats News, May 27th, according to official sources, Aethir has officially launched the Checker node buyback program, allowing node operators to sell their NFT licenses to the Aethir Foundation in exchange for eATH (EigenATH) tokens. The program aims to strengthen the Aethir ecosystem by incentivizing the addition of new compute clusters to Aethir's decentralized physical infrastructure network (DePIN) stack. The buyback price for Checker nodes will fluctuate based on market conditions and the buyback rate, with early participants receiving additional rewards.

The eATH token has a one-year lockup period but will continue to earn ATH rewards during this time, with the redemption period starting 30 days after June 13, 2026. eATH will be used to support Aethir's decentralized cloud computing infrastructure, particularly by bootstrapping new GPU cloud servers through EigenLayer's AVS model. Users holding eATH will receive rewards linked to the performance of Aethir's decentralized GPU cloud market. Additionally, eATH holders will be eligible for special rewards in Aethir's upcoming airdrops (Q2 and Q3) and may gain immediate liquidity through Pendle.
