OpenAI首席财务官称新架构为未来可能的IPO打开大门
OpenAI 首席财务官萨拉・弗莱尔（Sarah Friar）周三表示，该公司的重组计划为未来可能的首次公开募股（IPO）打开了大门，但任何此类决定将取决于公开市场的氛围以及公司的准备程度。
微软（Microsoft）已向 OpenAI 投资超过 130 亿美元。该公司去年 12 月宣布计划将其营利部门转为公益公司（public benefit corporation，PBC）。这一架构旨在平衡股东回报与社会目标，不同于仅专注于公共利益的非营利组织。
本月早些时候，这家 ChatGPT 开发商调整了原计划，使非营利母公司继续控制公益公司并成为其大股东，同时仍允许营利部门筹集更多资金，以在人工智能竞争中保持同步。
弗莱尔在都柏林科技峰会（Dublin Tech Summit）上表示：“公益公司架构使我们具备了 IPO 的可能性…… 如果我们想的话。”
她补充道：“请在座各位不要发推文说萨拉・弗莱尔刚刚谈到了 OpenAI 最终上市的事情。我没有。我只是说这有可能发生。”
当被问及 OpenAI 选择 IPO 需要满足哪些条件时，弗莱尔表示，任何考虑 IPO 的公司都需要两件事：公司自身准备就绪，以及市场准备就绪。
她说：“你可能已经做好了所有上市准备，但如果市场没有准备好，那你就只能运气不佳了。”
“这就是为什么你必须打造一家无论公开市场状况如何、窗口开放程度如何，都能保持可持续性和安全性的公司。”
弗莱尔补充道，要成为上市公司，“你肯定需要一定的可预测性”。
“市场会容忍一定程度的不可预测性，尤其是在高增长时期…… 但市场其实并不喜欢这样。”
