Pony.ai Inc. has announced a new partnership with Dubai's Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) to deploy its advanced robotaxi fleet in the region. This collaboration is a significant step in furthering Dubai's Self-Driving Transport Strategy, which aims to transform 25% of all journeys in the city into autonomous trips by 2030. The initial phase of the project will see supervised trials launching in 2025, with fully driverless operations expected to commence in 2026. Pony.ai plans to integrate its services with Dubai's existing multimodal transport network to enhance smart transport solutions and reduce the city's carbon footprint. This partnership also marks an expansion of Pony.ai's global presence, adding Dubai to its list of markets alongside the United States, China, South Korea, and Luxembourg.
