Carlit Holdings' (TYO:4275) consolidated subsidiary, JC Bottling, has been awarded a subsidy of up to 1.01 billion yen for energy-saving upgrades to its PET bottle manufacturing line in Gunma, Japan, according to a Friday Tokyo bourse filing.
The grant, awarded under the Energy Conservation Investment Promotion and Demand Structure Transformation Support Project, will support the installation of an aseptic filling system, heat recovery from high-temperature water, and energy management via Azbil Corp., the filing said.
The project is scheduled for completion in December 2026, Carlit said.
