Elon Musk Confirms X Money Will Undergo Testing Before Launch in 2025

BlockBeats News, May 27th, Elon Musk's payment and banking app X Money, has started testing. An account focused on Musk and Tesla news, "Tesla Owner Silicon Valley," reported on X that Musk has confirmed X "is about to launch X Money." Musk later confirmed this news in an X post.

Prior to Musk defaulting to testing X Money, there were a series of reports indicating that the platform may have launched in January this year, as the software code was allegedly leaked. According to data from licensing systems in several states in the United States, X has been actively obtaining multiple money transmission licenses for X Money, currently holding 41 such licenses.

Musk's plan to integrate payment functionality into X dates back to October 2022 when Musk acquired Twitter for $44 billion, stating that he wants to "accelerate the development of X, an all-in-one application." (Jinse)
