Schlumberger NV has announced a new agreement with ADNOC Drilling, whereby ADNOC Drilling will acquire a 70% stake in Schlumberger's land drilling rigs business in Kuwait and Oman. This partnership includes eight fully operational land rigs that are currently under contract with the national oil companies of both countries. Jesus Lamas, president of Middle East and North Africa at Schlumberger, highlighted the collaboration's aim to drive value and expand strategic partnerships across the energy sector in the region. The transaction is pending customary regulatory approvals and is anticipated to complete by the first quarter of 2026.
