Meeka Metals Says Commissioning of Process Plant at Western Australia Gold Project Scheduled for June, Shares Rise 4%

Meeka Metals (ASX:MEK) said the process plant expansion and upgrade works at its Murchison gold project in Western Australia are nearing completion, with commissioning scheduled for June and first gold targeted for the middle of the year, according to a Friday Australian bourse filing.

The power station installation and commissioning were completed in May, and the processing plant has been energized.

The firm is continuing open pit mining is ongoing at the project, and ore stockpiles are being built up ahead of the process plant's commissioning.

Underground establishment work at the Andy Well mine is also nearing completion.

Its shares rose 4% in early trading on Friday.
