Persistence Resources' Profit Jumps 14% in Q1

Persistence Resources Group (HKG:2489) recorded a 14% rise in attributable profit in the first quarter to 29.7 million yuan from 26.2 million yuan a year prior, a Friday filing with the Hong Kong bourse said.

Earnings per share for the three months were 0.0148 yuan, up from 0.0131 yuan in the prior year period.

The gold mining company's revenue rose 27% to 138.5 million yuan from 109.2 million yuan in the year-ago period, mainly due to a higher average selling price.
