南非化工巨头沙索有限公司宣布，决定关闭或封存意大利、德国和美国的四项资产。

在近日举行的年度资本市场日上，沙索表示，将在2025年第四季度永久关闭美国休斯顿的两家酚醛塑料生产厂，作为正在进行的国际化学品业务重组的一部分。

沙索还详细说明了之前宣布封存美国和意大利的乙醇和直链烷基苯(LAB)装置情况。其中，位于美国路易斯安那州查尔斯湖年产3万吨的乙醇厂将于本季度末封存；将在第三季度封存意大利的LAB实验室工厂。

沙索表示，为了实现规模利润最大化，国际化学品业务将从“数量驱动”到“价值驱动”的转变。“资产组合继续接受审查，以实现价值最大化，迄今已决定关闭或封存意大利、德国和美国的四项资产。这是市场需求疲软、全球市场产能过剩，以及一些资产与战略重点不一致的结果。”

沙索在2024年第四季度封存了德国的一家烷基酚工厂，原因是“成本上升和市场需求疲软，复苏的可能性很小。”

沙索的基础业务包括国际化学品业务、南部非洲能源和化学品业务两部分。其中，南部非洲能源和化学品业务是基石，包括煤炭、天然气、液体燃料和化学品。

沙索的国际化学品业务遍及12个国家，总收入达45亿美元，调整后的EBITDA为2.88亿美元，美洲占其业务的65%，其余35%在欧亚大陆。
