Estrella Resources Says Drilling Begins at East Timor Manganese Prospect

Estrella Resources (ASX:ESR) mobilized a diamond drill to the Ira Miri prospect at the Lautém manganese project in East Timor and began drilling at the first hole, according to a Thursday Australian bourse filing.
The drilling is targeting manganese mineralization as well as overlaying limestone close to an outcropping manganese unit. The program will consist of an initial 3,000 meters of diamond drilling and 10,000 meters of reverse circulation drilling.
A secondary round, consisting of a further 10,000 meters of reverse circulation drilling, will be conducted after geological review.
Its shares rose 9% on market close on Thursday.
