智通财经APP获悉，英国石油(BP.US)宣布任命石油行业资深人士戴夫·哈格(Dave Hager)为董事会成员，此举旨在强化公司重新聚焦化石燃料业务的战略，并维持投资者支持。
哈格在石油行业拥有超40年经验，最近曾任美国页岩油生产商戴文能源公司(DVN.US)首席执行官及执行董事长。他的加入将为目前缺乏油气专业背景的董事会注入相关领域专业技能。
此次任命正值BP首席执行官默里·奥金克洛斯(Murray Auchincloss)承诺在公司多年表现不佳后回归核心业务——这一颓势在很大程度上源于其前任力推的“净零战略”。
董事会主席赫尔格·隆德(Helge Lund)周五在声明中表示，哈格“带来了对美国上游油气行业的深刻洞察”，“他的战略眼光与推动运营成果和资本效率的经验将成为董事会的宝贵资产”。
隆德本人已宣布计划于4月卸任，其任期与英国石油失败的低碳战略紧密相关。这一决定是在包括激进投资机构 Elliott 资产管理公司在内的投资者强烈要求变革的压力下作出的。
哈格的任命将于6月2日正式生效。
