Karman Space & Defense, a leader in the development of next-generation system solutions for the space and defense markets, has announced the acquisition of ISP, a prominent player in specialty energetic propulsion technologies. The deal, which closed on May 28, 2025, aims to enhance Karman's offerings in small-diameter solid propellant technologies and strengthen its core competency in energetics. The acquisition involved a cash component of $50 million, funded through an increase of Karman's existing Term Loan B. ISP's expertise in propulsion technologies and its commitment to STEM education for youth align with Karman's strategic goals and community support initiatives.
