Black Cat Syndicate (ASX:BC8) said it has carried out infill drilling at the Gabbro veins area at the Paulsens gold operations in Western Australia to optimize mine planning, according to a Thursday Australian bourse filing.
The current drilling is refining stope locations, and results are consistent with the mine plan, the company said. "Significant" results encountered during the drilling include 1.2 meters at about 12 grams per tonne (g/t) grade of gold from 14.9 meters and 3.6 meters at 13.2 g/t grade of gold from 181.5 meters.
The company has drilled a total of 45 holes for a total of 9,168 meters, per the filing. Thirty-six drilled holes are awaiting assays, and underground drilling is ongoing.
Surface drilling at the Paulsens West seismic target is scheduled to begin in early June, co-funded by an exploration incentive scheme.
