Amara Raja Energy's Consolidated Net Profit Declines in Fiscal Q4; Shares Down 5%

Amara Raja Energy & Mobility (NSE:ARE&M, BOM:500008) witnessed a decline in its consolidated net profit to 1.62 billion Indian rupees in the fiscal fourth quarter ended March 31, against 2.30 billion rupees a year ago.

Earnings per share contracted to 8.83 rupees compared with the year-ago figure of 12.55 rupees, according to a Thursday filing to the Indian stock exchanges by the battery manufacturer.

Revenue from operations in fiscal Q4, however, increased to 30.6 billion rupees from 29.1 billion rupees a year earlier.

The company's board recommended a final dividend of 5.20 rupees per equity share of 1 rupee each fully paid

up for the financial year 2024-25.

The company's shares were down nearly 5% in recent trade.
