Prudential (HKG:2378, SGX:K6S) bought back 843,044 shares from the London Stock Exchange on Thursday at an average price of 8.4548 pounds sterling apiece, a Friday Hong Kong bourse filing said.
The insurer intends to cancel the repurchased shares.
Following the buyback, the company will have 2,598,056,198 shares in issue.
