Two days before the federal election, Donald Trump’s top pollster Chris LaCivita was caught on video crowing about a trip to Australia “helping the Liberal Party”.
It was a Zoom call filmed by undercover reporters posing as clients. The video was published by Guardian Australia and aired by Seven News. Considering how radioactive Trump associations were to Peter Dutton, his spokesman was forceful in saying that LaCivita “is not advising, has never advised, and is not involved in any way with the Coalition campaign”.
