Westpac Banking (ASX:WBC, NZE:WBC) developed a real-time call assistant technology to enhance customer support and scam detection, the financial services group said in a statement Thursday.
The technology is being integrated into the bank's frontline customer service and operations platforms, assisting bankers in customer interactions and preventing scams.
The technology is currently being piloted in Westpac's specialist scam and fraud team, according to the statement.
Shares rose nearly 1% in recent Thursday trade in Australia and New Zealand.
