新西兰ASB银行高级经济学家Mark Smith表示，随着新西兰官方现金利率回到中性水平附近，需要更高的标准来批准进一步的调整。对风险的下行倾向表明需要货币政策支持，ASB仍然预计OCR年底将达到2.75%。虽然每项决定都是实时的，但ASB目前预计8月和10月将降息25个基点；此前预计将在7月和8月降息。“我们的重新评估是，除非美国关键的贸易谈判出现严重恶化，或者有其他强有力的证据表明新西兰通胀正在迅速降温，才会促使新西兰联储在7月降息。”
