BlockBeats News: On June 1st, according to on-chain security analysis firm PeckShield, there were approximately 20 major cryptocurrency security incidents in May 2025, resulting in a total loss of $2.441 billion, a 39.29% decrease compared to the previous month.
Among them, the Cetus Protocol suffered a $220 million loss, making it the largest incident of the month. Currently, the Cetus Protocol and SUI have successfully frozen $157 million of the stolen funds, with the remaining $63 million still in the attacker's wallet. Other significant events include the Cork Protocol being attacked for $12 million, a suspected hack related to North Korea causing a $5.2 million loss, MBU Token and MaplestoryU losing $2.2 million and $1.2 million respectively.
