Solstice Minerals (ASX:SLS) said significant new gold intercepts were returned in four-meter composite samples from recent phase two reverse circulation drilling at the Bluetooth gold prospect at its Yarri project in Western Australia, according to a Tuesday Australian bourse filing.

The intercepts encountered included 20 meters at 2.18 grams per tonne grade of gold from 28 meters, 20 meters at 2.01 g/t grade of gold from 20 meters, as well as 16 meters at 2.13 g/t grade of gold from 48 meters.

The intercepts are considered to be close to true width and further define shallow east-dipping zones of gold mineralization. The firm is planning for further drilling at the prospect in the coming weeks.

Its shares soared 14% in early trading on Tuesday.
