Jacobs Solutions Inc. has made significant strides in the recovery efforts following the devastating Lahaina wildfires in Hawaii. In partnership with the County of Maui and the Environmental Protection Agency, Jacobs utilized advanced technology to address critical infrastructure damage, particularly focusing on the region's wastewater collection system. By implementing their AI-powered tool, Dragonfly℠, Jacobs was able to rapidly assess the condition of 90,000 feet of pipeline in just one month, enabling prioritized repairs and efficient construction planning. This swift response facilitated the completion of 78 crucial repairs by April 2025, fully restoring sewer services to homes and businesses in Lahaina. The $8.1 million project not only supports the return of displaced residents but also aids in the revitalization of the local economy, showcasing the role of advanced technology in accelerating disaster response and community resilience.
