CHICAGO, June 3 (Reuters) - Spot soybean bids were steady, while corn bids were steady to mixed in the U.S. Midwest on Tuesday as planting wound to a close and selling remained relatively slow.
The U.S. Department of Agriculture's first rating of the soybean crop this year came in at 67% good to excellent, slightly below the average estimate of 68%.
The USDA reported 93% of corn was seeded and 69% of the crop was in good to excellent condition. Both were in line with analyst expectations.
Regular rain has helped most soybean and corn crops in the Midwest get off to good starts, though the showers also delayed planting in some areas.
Soybean futures Sv1 were last up 6-1/4 cents to $10.39-1/2 per bushel. Corn futures Cv1 were up 1-1/4 cents to $4.39-1/2 per bushel
