智通财经APP获悉，优步(UBER.US)已任命其 6 年来首位首席运营官，以助力优步自动驾驶业务的发展。与此同时，该公司在除打车服务以外的其他业务领域也在不断发展壮大。Andrew Macdonald目前是优步负责移动业务和运营的高级副总裁，他将从即日起担任首席运营官一职。
Macdonald在向美国证券交易委员会提交的文件中表示：“在我新的职位上，我的首要任务将是充分发挥优步平台的潜力……这是一个关乎未来发展的巨大机遇，也是我们独有的竞争优势，但目前我们才刚刚开始触及这一领域。”
与此同时，优步递送部门负责人Pierre-Dimitri Gore-Coty将离开公司，他在该公司工作了近13年。作为优步的首批员工之一以及配送业务的高级副总裁，Gore-Coty已在该公司工作了 13 年，他是全球移动业务扩张的推动者，早在首次新冠疫情封锁之前，他就已接掌了优步外卖业务。
