0921 GMT - Unilever has a huge growth opportunity in TikTok Shop, Unilever executive Dipesh Patel says at the Shoptalk Europe retail conference in Barcelona. TikTok has integrated an e-commerce platform within its app that allows users to shop directly from videos, live streams and profiles. For the beauty segment, this is going to be crucial in how the company sells its products and engages with consumers, he says. Patel, who is chief digital officer for one of Unilever's beauty and wellbeing unit, highlights the importance of focusing on product innovation, but also the need to invest in technology to be able to face future challenges and changes in consumer behavior.
