0934 GMT - First-person action games will likely drive the next stage of growth in China's videogame sector, according to Daiwa's John Choi and Candis Chan. More new first-person action titles are scheduled to launch this year, such as "Valorant Mobile," "Rainbow Six Mobile" and "Destiny: Rising," the analysts say in a note. The increased supply of such games will expand the player base with minimal cannibalization across titles, they add. Tencent Holdings and NetEase are expected to capitalize on the market opportunities with their evergreen and innovative titles. Daiwa reaffirms its positive view of the sector, naming Tencent as its top pick. (tracy.qu@wsj.com)
