Vulcan Energy Resources Limited has announced a significant milestone in its Phase One Lionheart Project, focusing on integrated lithium and renewable energy production for the European battery electric vehicle industry. The company has commenced the qualification process of its V-Li0N™ product, Europe's first fully domestically produced battery-quality lithium hydroxide. This achievement, marked by the production of battery-quality V-Li0N™ on January 13, 2025, represents a crucial step in enhancing Europe's critical raw material supply chain resilience. Produced sustainably using advanced extraction methods and geothermal energy, the V-Li0N™ product is currently being dispatched to offtake partners for pre-qualification, aiming to fast-track sales before the full commercial production launch.
