Fitch Rating affirmed a long-term and short-term issuer default rating of "BBB+/F2" for MyState (ASX:MYS) and its MyState Bank and Auswide Bank units, maintaining a stable outlook, according to a Thursday filing with the Australian bourse.
The affirmation follows the completion of MyState's merger with Auswide.
The rating agency noted that the merger has not adversely affected the banks' credit profiles, with the combined entity continuing to focus on low-risk residential mortgage lending, which supports stable asset quality and earnings.
